In some countries, cancer patients who are made radioactive are told to avoid contact with children, because radiation exposure is especially bad for children's developing bodies. These ethically-required warnings are never given in the U.S., because radiation is so zealously promoted.

What if our medical people and journalists had the same ethical standards as their peers in other countries? What if they too warned patients to at least stay away from innocent children? The American people would quickly realize that radiation is inherently bad, and that irradiated patients remain radioactive after exposure to radioactive 'medicine'. Think of the financial implications for the U.S. cancer industry, if the same warnings for children were to be given inside the states. The political lie about collateral radiation not effecting close friends and family is a large part of why the United States kills more people with medicine than any other industrialized nation. It is one reason why cancer runs in families now, because the entire family gets irradiated.

The Ugly Truth About Radiation

Radiation is bad -- really bad. It attacks the entire body from inside-out, including mutating the DNA, so that birth defects after radiation exposure are not uncommon. It is prudent that a person never try to become pregnant immediately after radiation exposure. Radiation exposure is the surest way to cause cancer, and the cancers from radiation exposure can strike anywhere, and at any random time in the future.

Americans are told that radiation poisoning is advanced medicine, and that being exposed to people who are made radioactive is completely safe. They are sometimes even told that the residual radiation from patients is somehow safer than the radiation from the original source, as if it undergoes a magical transformation inside patients' bodies. They are told that science proves that human-emitted radiation is a 'special' radiation that it is better for them than the ever-dangerous sunlight. The absurdities are akin to childhood fairy tales.

Americans are in their third or fourth generation of being guinea pigs for the nuclear industry, like the army soldiers who were forced to watch A-bomb explosions in the 1950's, which were designed to show how safe and beneficial radiation is. Check the records for those men to be enlightened about their deformed children or their own cancers, if you can stand the heartbreak.

A century of records, dating back to Madam Curie, proves than radiation is never safe. It was radiation that killed her. Radiation is the most toxic thing known, because it will poison without any physical contact.

The sex organs and the thyroid are always the first to be damaged by radiation exposure. Unfortunately, there is little that men can do to protect their sex organs, so the recommendation is to avoid making babies for several weeks after exposure. Women are luckier, because they can use iodine or iodide to protect both their ovaries and their thyroids, somewhat. Men can only protect their thyroids. While symptoms of exposure may vary, an overall feeling of general illness is the most common.

What To Do If You Must Be Exposed

Chlorophyll supplementation has been proven to dramatically reduce the damage done by radiation by official military testing, so it is strongly recommended. Chlorophyll also boosts the immune system, and increases the oxygen in cells while preventing oxidation damage.

Apple pectin is a food-based supplement which neutralizes radioactive particles inside the body. It was used following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster with stunning results. The dosage was 800 mg. for every 100 pounds of body weight.

Potassium iodide is sold commercially to protect people from radiation, but this is only an option for people who plan ahead of time. The following dosages are recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.

Potassium Iodide Dosages

  • Newborns from birth to 1 month of age should be given 16 mg. (1/4 of a 65 mg. tablet or 1/4 mL. of solution).
  • Infants and children between 1 month and 3 years of age should take 32 mg. (1/2 of a 65 mg. tablet or 1/2 mL. of solution).
  • Children between 3 and 18 years of age should take 65 mg. (one 65 mg. tablet or 1 mL. of solution). Children who are adult size (greater than or equal to 150 pounds) should take the full adult dose, regardless of age.
  • Adults should take 130 mg. (one 130 mg. tablet or two 65. mg. tablets or two mL. of solution).
  • Women who are breast feeding should take the adult dose of 130 mg.

There is an alternative do-it-yourself approach as follows. Apply a large patch of iodine to the abdomen area, several hours before exposure, if possible. This alternative treatment should protect both the thyroid and the ovaries somewhat. One should also consume some potassium. Unfortunately, the amount of potassium needed is greater than can be gained from diet. A great deal of potassium is needed for radiation shielding. You can effectively utilize a salt substitute that is made primarily of potassium. About half of a teaspoon should provide plenty of potassium from a salt substitute.

Extra Risks and Countermeasures

Be forewarned that there are inherent dangers to excessive potassium intake. Excessive potassium in a body will dramatically increase blood thickening and blood clotting. You may get an increase in blood pressure, and perhaps some symptoms of kidney stress. Increased potassium equals an increased chance of strokes and blood clots. Thus, we encourage readers to use common sense in weighing the help-to-harm ratio before using a potassium salt. We recommend supplementing with gotu kola, ginkgo biloba, cayenne, vitamin E, omega-3 (flax seed oil), and American ginseng to thin the blood and increase oxygen intake during the stressful period of using potassium. Red wine is also helpful in small doses.

The use of iodine or iodide can be dangerous for people who suffer with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Birth control pills greatly increase the dangers of potassium consumption.
